The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library says access to the Hoopla Streaming Service ends come the new year.
This eliminates access to free streaming movies, TV shows, music, e-books and audiobooks.
The library said the pay-per-use model from “Hoopla” has become an unsustainable expense.
“Like many libraries across the country, the Bufflao & Erie County Public Library has seen a signifigant increase in costs for digital materials,” the library said in a press release. “Unfortunately, Hoopla’s pay-per-use model, in which a library is charged each time an item is borrowed, has become an unsustainable expense for our library.”
There are still more than 100,000 e-books and audiobooks available.
You will be able to access anything you have borrowed in the past from Hoopla.
