STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Santa Claus is officially en route for his annual trip, and the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) is once again helping families track his journey around the globe.

Every Christmas Eve, the NORAD Tracks Santa program lets families follow Santa and his reindeer along their route. Anyone interested can visit the NORAD website to track his trip in real time.

Families can also download the NORAD Tracks Santa app to watch the countdown to Santa’s journey, play festive games, explore books about Santa and his sleigh and listen to a Christmas playlist.

Trackers worldwide can also call to inquire about Santa’s whereabouts by dialing the toll-free number 1-877-Hi-NORAD (1-877-446-6723). They will either speak with a live phone operator or hear a recorded message.

Google also offers a Santa Tracker, which features games like Santa’s Canvas, Railroad Ride, Snowball Storm, and more for children to enjoy. On Dec. 24, Santa’s Village will transform into a tracking experience where you can follow Santa and his reindeers as they deliver their presents.
