Brooklyn Peltz-Beckham stormed off during an interview at the NYC Wine and Food Festival on Friday when asked about his mother’s Netflix documentary.

The 26-year-old chef, who is the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, has reportedly been at odds with his family for months, missing key events such as his father’s 50th birthday and the premiere of Victoria Beckham, a Netflix docuseries about his fashion designer mother. Despite making a brief appearance in his father’s documentary in 2023, Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz chose not to attend the premiere of his mother’s series earlier this month.

At the festival, where he was hosting the Blue Moon Burger Bash 2.0, Brooklyn abruptly ended the interview and walked away when a reporter asked him about the documentary. Dressed casually in a backwards black baseball cap and grey zip-up hoodie, he had been answering questions about his culinary career before the abrupt exit, further fueling rumors of a family feud.

According to Mail Online, upon hearing his mother’s name, he turned his back on the reporter and marched back into the venue, away from the crowd. Brooklyn seemed to be the only member of the Beckham family who did not attend the premiere of Victoria Beckham, reports the Mirror.

However, Victoria still included him in her tribute to those who helped make the show. She said, “To my husband for convincing me and forcing me, giving me no choice, David. My children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, Harper and David. Oh no, he’s not a child! It has taken this process to realise I am enough.”

She added, “This process really forced me to reflect on my journey, and it has been emotional. It’s been a year of intense therapy, and it really made me realise a lot. I want to thank my mum and dad, my brother and my sister. I’d like to thank the Spice Girls, I love you.”

Despite Victoria expressing gratitude to the Spice Girls, not every member showed up to support her. Geri Halliwell-Horner, Emma Bunton and Melanie Chisholm were all present, but Melanie Brown MBE was notably absent.

Scary Spice had professional obligations in the United States, which she shared on her social media platforms. Both women have teased the possibility of a Spice Girls comeback.

The latest suggestion emerged from Victoria in anticipation of the group’s 30th anniversary. During an interview on US radio station Sirius XM, she revealed it “would be tempting” to perform again, particularly for a Las Vegas residency at the Sphere.

“It would be tempting. But could I take on a world tour? No I can’t. I have a job… How good would the Spice Girls be at the Sphere! I love the idea of it. I mean I don’t know if I could even still sing, I mean I was never that great!”
