UTICA, N.Y. — A new restaurant in downtown Utica celebrated its soft opening with free samples and a limited menu.
The Beef & Bird, located in Bagg’s Square Plaza, opened its doors starting at 1 p.m. Saturday. The new eatery is offering house-roasted beef sandwiches, fried chicken, fresh-cut fries and cheesecake among other items.
The inside decor will soon feature works of art by local artists.
The Beef & Bird is part of a wave of new establishments set to open in Bagg’s Square Plaza, including a cocktail and dessert bar and a Mexican/Asian fusion restaurant.
