BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Janiya Thomas netted 17 points and pulled down 16 rebounds to lead Curtis to a 64-55 victory over John Jay in the Rose Classic Hoops Festival Sunday at Bishop Loughlin.
Kat Karounos (12 points, five assists, nine rebounds), Alina Starodubenko (12 points, seven assists, four steals) and Jiselle Jackson (11 points) also contributed.
The Warriors trailed 34-31 at the half before outscoring John Jay 18-8 in the third quarter to surge ahead.
Curtis plays Summit Academy in the same tourney on Monday.
