FLATBUSH — FDNY CREWS RESPONDED late Friday to a possible manhole explosion in Flatbush, authorities said. The incident was reported around 10:30 p.m. at Westminster Road and Coney Island Avenue, in front of a local deli, reports News 12.
Video showed tall flames shooting up from the street. Officials have not confirmed the cause of the incident, or if anyone was injured.
The response comes amid a busy stretch for city fire crews, with recent winter weather contributing to hazardous conditions across Brooklyn.Â
