JAMAICA, Queens (PIX11) – A mother is accused of killing her own child in Queens on Monday, sources told PIX11 News.

Police responded to a home on 157th Street in Jamaica around 1:30 p.m. Officers found a 15-month-old boy, unconscious and unresponsive, along with a 28-year-old woman with slashes to her wrists, according to authorities.

Police said the child, identified as Charlie Ramraykha, died after being rushed to a local hospital. The woman, identified as Nicole Boodhai, was arrested in connection with his death.

Police said Boodhai was charged with murder and endangering the welfare of a child. She’s the child’s mother, sources told PIX11 News.

An investigation into the death is ongoing. Sources said they’ve previously responded to the home for disturbances, but none were related to domestic violence.
