A 24-year-old man was fatally shot early Sunday morning inside a Brooklyn apartment, according to the NYPD.
Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 2:07 a.m. reporting a shooting at 2020 Dorchester Road in Flatbush. Upon arrival, officers found the victim with a gunshot wound to the torso.
Emergency medical services transported the man to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released pending family notification.
Authorities said a person of interest was taken into custody at the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
