Celebrate New Year’s Eve at the NYRR Midnight Run through Central Park!

There’s no healthier way to ring in the New Year in NYC than by joining the annual NYRR Midnight Run—a festive, four-mile run winding through Central Park. This popular event draws about 4,000 runners and even more spectators each year, many of whom embrace the holiday spirit by dressing in costumes. The atmosphere will be full of excitement as thousands come together to celebrate the new year on a healthy, joyful note.

Event Details and Timing

The race kicks off right at midnight, accompanied by music, dancing, and a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the night sky.

Closures and Timing

8:00 AM on 12/31 to 2:00 AM on 1/1: The Cherry Hill area will be closed.
7:15 PM on 12/31: The 72nd Street Transverse and areas immediately north and south will be closed to the public.
Midnight on 12/31: The fireworks show will last for twenty minutes.
