Margaret Patricia Sein, 80, passed away on Dec. 24, 2025. A long-time resident of Staten Island, she was a retired third grade teacher at P.S. 45 in West Brighton. Born in 1945, Margaret grew up on a farm in Ghent, New York before coming to Staten Island to attend Wagner College. She lived primarily in the West Brighton and Port Richmond neighborhoods for over 50 years. Margaret is survived by her two sons, three grandchildren, and daughters-in-law. Branka Cizin, a resident of Staten Island, passed away at her home on Dec. 28, 2025. Born in Croatia, Branka emigrated to the United States in 1965. She dedicated 35 years as a registered nurse in the NICU at Staten Island University Hospital, earning the Nurse of the Year Award. Branka had a love for travel and played a key role in Michael’s Cause, an organization supporting Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
