Outside linebacker Abdul Carter was added to the final injury report with a hamstring issue. The rookie third overall pick was limited in Friday’s practice and listed as questionable for the game.
Five players did not travel with the team to Denver: wide receiver Darius Slayton (hamstring), linebackers Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (hamstring) and Swayze Bozeman (ankle), defensive lineman Chauncey Golston (neck), and center John Michael Schmitz (concussion).
Austin Schlottman, who played 32 snaps in place of Schmitz during last Thursday’s victory over the Eagles, took first-team reps in practice this week.
Offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo also did not make the trip. Assistant offensive line coach James Ferentz will replace him on the sideline.
On Saturday, the Giants elevated linebacker Zaire Barnes and wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey, who led the team in targets in Week 6, from the practice squad. They also activated outside linebacker Victor Dimukeje, who returned to practice this week after suffering a pectoral injury over the offseason. In a corresponding move, they waived defensive lineman Elijah Garcia.
On the other side, the Broncos activated linebacker Dre Greenlaw and signed quarterback Sam Ehlinger to the practice squad. Denver also released defensive back A.J. Woods and wide receiver Thayer Thomas (injury settlement) from the practice squad.
Outside linebacker Jonah Elliss was ruled out with a shoulder injury.
