NEW YORK (PIX11) – The City of New York is hiring in the Social Services field, with some positions not requiring a city exam, according to the city’s website listing openings in the Big Apple.

One of these jobs is with the New York City Administration for Children’s Services, which is currently seeking a case coordinator.

This position has a salary range of $62,868 to $97,593. Job duties include conducting home visits, bi-weekly visits, and completing other related tasks requested by supervisory staff.

Another position that does not require a city exam is available in the Department of Homeless Services as a Family Care Coordinator. The salary range for the position is $62,868 to $72,298. Job duties include visiting shelters to provide information, resources, and opportunities to shelter staff to address families’ health needs, according to the job listing.

At the New York City Department of Social Services, the agency is currently seeking a Strategic Initiatives Manager. The salary range for the role is $84,087 to $90,680, according to the listing.

Job duties include advising senior staff by providing feedback, addressing urgent concerns, and identifying solutions to issues as they arise. The individual hired will also work closely with leadership to plan and implement key projects and initiatives.

Although many of these positions do not require a city exam, most do require a college degree from an accredited institution and a few years of experience.

However, candidates with a high school degree and supplemental work experience in the field of social services will also be considered.

Other positions that need to be filled include a unit specialist, a resource specialist, and a senior advisor.
