Latin-Greek fusion restaurant Naxos Brooklyn opens

WILLIAMSBURG — A NEW LATIN-GREEK fusion restaurant, Naxos Brooklyn, has officially opened in Williamsburg, bringing a menu that blends Greek cooking with Latin American flavors, reports the National Herald.

Located at 470 Driggs Ave., the restaurant opened Nov. 13 and features Cycladic-inspired design and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The ownership group, five partners of Dominican and Colombian background, said that the concept originated from a shared appreciation for Greek cuisine and a desire to connect it with their own cultural roots.

Partners Katherin Rozo and Mike Cruz said the restaurant aims to remind guests of the Greek islands. The kitchen is led by executive chef Panayiotis Dalitsouris, a native of Laconia with nearly three decades of experience.

Naxos Brooklyn is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 5 p.m. to midnight.
