WAKEFIELD, the Bronx (PIX11) — A man was shot multiple times after shots rang out inside a Bronx hair salon on New Year’s Day, police said.
The 24-year-old man was shot after a fight with three men inside the hair salon at 693 East 236 St. in Wakefield at around 6:30 p.m., according to the NYPD. Sources said the victim did not work at the salon.
One of the suspects pulled a gun and allegedly fired several shots, hitting the victim in the left thigh and abdomen, police said. The man was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Police said two suspects fled in a white sedan with dark-tinted windows eastbound on East 236 Street, and the third suspect fled on foot westbound on East 236 Street.

Police said the alleged shooter was last seen wearing a black jacket with “Amiri” written on the front of the jacket, a black sweatshirt, black pants, and dark colored shoes. The gunman was one of the men who fled in the white sedan.
There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.
