NEW YORK (PIX11) — All New York City-area airports are seeing delays Monday morning as the region is doused with rain, according to the FAA.
Multiple ground stops were issued at LaGuardia Airport on Monday morning due to wind, according to the FAA. It was lifted before 11 a.m., according to the FAA.

Travelers were seeing delays of over three hours, on average, according to the FAA. Newark Airport is seeing delays of over an hour and 20 minutes due to wind.
Ground stops are possible throughout the day at all three airports. Issues could start as early as 1 p.m. at John F. Kennedy, according to the FAA. Newark Airport had an average 15-minute departure delay on Monday morning.

Parts of New York City have already seen up to 1.85 inches of rain on Monday, according to the National Weather Service. Another inch to two inches is possible throughout the day.
The region could see flooding, especially along the coast, according to NWS. Heavy winds will make for treacherous conditions and possible downed trees until at least 12 p.m.
