Olivia F. Brennan, known as “Aunt Beetie,” 81, of West Brighton, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026. She was the beloved wife of retired New York State Supreme Court Justice, The Honorable Michael J. Brennan for 59 years. Olivia was born in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and came to Staten Island as a small child. She graduated from Notre Dame Grammar School, Notre Dame High School and the former Notre Dame College. She earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from NYU. Olivia started her career as a Social Worker at the former Marine Hospital on Staten Island, and then established the Social Work department at the former Doctor’s Hospital, where she was the Director of Social Work. Salvatore F. Morreale, born July of 1952, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Salvatore built a remarkable 42-year career as a Chemical Trading Manager at ICD-UMC. He was a graduate of Holy Rosary School, Msgr. Farrell High School, Fordham University, and New York University. Music was another true passion in Salvatore’s life – he was a superb saxophone and violin player known as “Singing Sal.” A gathering of friends and family will take place at the Martin Hughes Funeral Home in Staten Island on Sunday, with a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at Holy Rosary RC Church in South Beach. Margaret Patricia Sein, 80, a long-time resident of Staten Island and retired third grade teacher at P.S. 45 in West Brighton, passed away on Dec. 24, 2025. Margaret lived primarily in the West Brighton and Port Richmond neighborhoods for over 50 years after coming to Staten Island to attend Wagner College. She was a dedicated parishioner at the former Our Savior Lutheran Church and a woman of many talents, impressing others with her skills as a quilter, seamstress, and gardener.
