Mamdani reiterated his opposition to the U.S. operation that brought Maduro to the city and confirmed he raised those concerns directly with President Donald Trump.
3. CDC slashes childhood vaccination recommendations
The the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has sharply reduced the number of vaccines routinely recommended for all U.S. children, cutting the list from 17 to 11 in an unprecedented move.
Vaccines for diseases such as measles, polio and HPV remain recommended, but others — including rotavirus, hepatitis A and B, meningitis, dengue and seasonal flu — are now advised only for high-risk children or through “shared decision-making” with a doctor.
