BAY RIDGE, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A person was critically injured after an apartment caught fire in Brooklyn on Tuesday, according to the FDNY.
Fire officials said flames broke out on the 3rd floor of the Colonial Road building in Bay Ridge around 10:30 p.m. Nearly 80 firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene.
Two firefighters and another civilian suffered minor injuries, according to the FDNY.

Fire crews were able to get the blaze under control in just an hour. The cause is under investigation.
