Tonight will be cloudy and chilly with rain and/or a wintry mix/snow. 

Rain, wintry and snow impacts the area overnight through Wednesday morning before tapering by lunchtime. Lots of clouds will persist through the afternoon with highs in the 30s to near 40.

Thursday will be quiet, dry and milder with some sun. Highs will be in the 30s and 40s. Unsettled weather and rain return to the forecast on Friday with highs in the 40s to near 50. Another round of unsettled weather will move in on Saturday. 

Temperatures will be much colder once again to start next week with highs in the 20s and 30s.

5. Ice delays seasonal closure of St. Lawrence Seaway

The seaway was supposed to close Monday; however, several ships are currently anchored in the river near Clayton.

6. Rubio, Hegseth brief congressional leaders as questions mount over next steps in Venezuela

Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other top officials briefed leaders in Congress late Monday on the striking military operation in Venezuela amid mounting concerns that President Donald Trump is embarking on a new era of U.S. expansionism without consultation of lawmakers or a clear vision for running the South American country.
