STATEN ISLAND, NY – An off-duty New York City police officer was arrested Wednesday morning in Staten Island on charges of driving while intoxicated, authorities said.
According to police, 24-year-old Artan Kurtovic, an NYPD officer, was taken into custody around 7:47 a.m. within the confines of the 121st Precinct. He was charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated.
The circumstances of the arrest were not immediately released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
