Police identified the man wanted for killing a Bronx father of four and Uber driver on New Year’s Day.

Authorities say Ehinel Troncoso, 24, is accused of fatally shooting Isa Mbolo Isaac, 55, in the head during a road rage incident just before 7 a.m. near Morris Avenue and Cross Bronx Expressway.

News 12 spoke exclusively with Isaac’s brother, Mounirou Zorome, who says he’s still struggling to understand how a normal night ended in tragedy.

“We just don’t have words to express the anger, the frustration this incident created, you know. He did nothing to deserve this,” Zorome said. “He was just working in the New Year’s and just trying to provide for his family and his life is just gone just like that.”

The lengthy search for the man responsible involved multiple press conferences held by the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers.

During a press conference Jan. 2, a source, who says he was present during the attack, came forward to identify the suspected shooter as a Bronx resident in his early 20s who immigrated from the Dominican Republic.

“I was nearby… we were able to identify the person by the pictures,” the source said.

They said the suspect may be attempting to flee the country and return to the Dominican Republic.

NYSFTD spokesperson Fernando Mateo translated these claims.
