A house on Long Island was deemed structurally unsafe after a teen driver plowed a Tesla into the home last Sunday night.

Police said the 17-year-old driver drove into the home in Jericho around 9:40 p.m.

The young driver was behind the wheel of a 2025 Tesla when she drove off the road and into the side of the house on Onondaga Place. She suffered a minor injury but refused medical attention, police said.

Two people were inside the home at the time of the crash but were not injured. Their home, however, did suffered extensive damage.

Authorities said the impact left the house “structurally unsafe.”
