The relationship between Brooklyn Beckham and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, has become increasingly icy. Now, the extent of their communication — or lack thereof — has come into focus.

Brooklyn has instructed his parents to only contact him through his lawyers, according to the Daily Mail, after discovering briefings about his wife, the billionaire actress Nicola Peltz, that suggested she was controlling him.

So, how did we get here? Let’s dive into what we know.

Tying the knot

Brooklyn and Peltz got married in Palm Beach, Florida back in 2022, and the trouble seems to begin there.

Peltz chose to wear a Valentino Haute Couture dress instead of one from the Victoria Beckham label, sparking rumors of tension between Peltz and Victoria. However, Peltz did her best to quell them by telling Variety she intended on wearing a VB dress, but the atelier wasn’t able to make it.

Then came the awkward wedding day moment. According to People, Marc Anthony — a Beckham family friend — came on stage to perform a song, and he invited Victoria, not Peltz, to join him and Brooklyn. Peltz reportedly left the room in tears while Brooklyn and Victoria slow danced.

Not-so-happy birthday

The Beckham family feud got into the news again as David was celebrating his 50th birthday in May 2025. Brooklyn and Peltz didn’t attend any of the festivities, plus Brooklyn skipped the annual Beckham boys fishing trip. After the fishing trip, David took to Instagram to tell Brooklyn, “You were missed.”

Later that month, Brooklyn seemed to throw shade at his family with an Instagram post in which he described Peltz as his “whole world,” adding that he will “always choose” her. Brooklyn reportedly blocked his parents on Instagram by the end of the year.

It’s never fun to see families beef, so hopefully the Beckhams can fix this before it’s too late.
