There is an active law enforcement situation in a Fox Tower hotel room at Foxwoods Resort Casino, according to Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation Police.
Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation Police, state police and Ledyard police all responded to the casino in Mashantucket.
“Law enforcement are managing a situation in a Fox Tower hotel room involving an individual believed to have unlawfully restrained two people before quickly releasing them earlier this morning,” Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation Police Department said in a statement.
State police said they are assisting at Foxwoods and Ledyard Police said they are also assisting Mashantucket at the Fox Tower, but it’s their jurisdiction and they are in command of the call.
Mashantucket Tribal Nation Police said it is an isolated incident and that the safety and security of their guests and staff are their highest priority.
The NBC Connecticut crew at the scene sees a large police presence and they have seen people coming in and out of the main entrance of the casino and people parking in the garage and heading inside.
No additional information was immediately available.
