EAST HARLEM, NY — Fast food chain SONIC has officially arrived in Manhattan.
The fast-food chain, known for its burgers, limeades, and customizable drink combinations, opened its first-ever Manhattan location this week on Third Avenue near East 106th Street.
The East Harlem restaurant is SONIC’s fifth in New York City, joining locations in Crown Heights, Williamsburg, East New York, and Long Island City.
To celebrate the opening, the SONIC Foundation announced a $10,000 donation to support East Harlem public schools through the education nonprofit DonorsChoose, which helps fund classroom projects across the country.
The new location is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with plans to expand hours for breakfast and late-night service, the chain said.
Customers can order at the counter, dine indoors, or use third-party delivery, the restaurant’s spokesperson said.
SONIC is located at 1914 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10029.
