THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – Two former NYPD officers were sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a drunk woman in the Bronx back in 2023, according to District Attorney Darcel Clark.
Prosecutors said 42-year-old Julio Alcantara-Santiago and 34-year-old Christian Garcia were drinking with the victim at a Bronx nightspot on July 9. Both officers were seen holding the woman up by her arms and leaving the club in surveillance video, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors said they were then seen taking her into Alcantara-Santiago’s apartment.
“Video surveillance depicts the defendants carrying (the victim) into an apartment inside of that building, as (victim) is being held upright with her eyes closed, mouth open, unable to stand on her own, and constantly falling,” according to court documents.
Prosecutors said the victim took herself to a local hospital after the attack. DNA testing identified both officers, according to prosecutors.
