Suffolk County Police arrested a driving school instructor for allegedly showing pornography to three teenagers during a driving lesson.

Police allege that 75-year-old Mitchell Lerner, who taught at Defensive Driving School in Central Islip, showed “pornographic videos and images on a phone” to three kids last month as a reward for good driving.

Police conducted an investigation into Lerner after receiving a tip. After the investigation the 75-year-old was charged with three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Could Be More Victims

Police believe there could be other victims and are asking people to contact them if they have any information.

“Investigators are asking anyone with additional information, or who believes they may have been a victim of this crime, to call Third Precinct Investigative Unit officers at 631-854-8326,” police stated in a press release.

The owner of the Defensive Driving School says he was stunned. He adds that saying Lerner worked for him for four years and was well-liked. Lerner was let go.
