Carnegie Hall’s one-night-only concert staging of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II’s Oklahoma!, featuring the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, was presented January 12. Check out photos from the evening in the gallery below.

The performance, which kicked off Carnegie Hall’s United in Sound: America at 250
citywide festival, played the Stern
Auditorium/Perelman Stage. Rob Berman conducted the orchestra, and Oklahoma! Tony winner Shuler Hensley directed.

The company was led by Tony nominee Micaela Diamond (Parade, The Cher Show) as Laurey Williams and opera baritone Emmett O’Hanlon as Curly McLain. The duo was joined by Parvesh Cheena (Outsourced, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) as Ali Hakim, Jonathan Christopher (Sweeney Todd) as Jud Fry, Tony nominee Andrew Durand (Dead Outlaw) as Will Parker, Ana Gasteyer (Wicked, The Rocky Horror Show) as Aunt Eller, Tony winner David Hyde Pierce (Curtains) as Andrew Carnes, and Tony nominee Jasmine Amy Rogers (BOOP! The Musical, … Spelling Bee) as Ado Annie.

Cooper, Christine DiGiallonardo, Nicole Fernandez-Coffer, Hannah
Florence, Lindsay Roberts Greene, Leah Horowitz, Alex Humphreys, Andrea

The groundbreaking 1943 musical Oklahoma! set a new standard
for musical theatre, ushering in the Golden Age of Broadway musicals.
This concert version boasts the original orchestrations by Robert
Russell Bennett. The Rodgers and Hammerstein favorite features such classic songs as
“Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’,” “The Surrey With the Fringe on Top,”
“People Will Say We’re in Love,” and the title song.

The United in Sound festival highlights the musical riches
that have evolved in the U.S. throughout the country’s history.
Featuring more than 35 concerts, performances highlight Broadway,
film music, jazz, R&B, rock ‘n’ roll, hip-hop, country, bluegrass,
and classical music as well as programs that blend various musical
genres, showcasing the best of the American spirit through music.
