An 85-year-old woman was stabbed to death in her Brooklyn apartment and a relative is in police custody, officials said Wednesday.
Julia Boomer was stabbed multiple times all over her body inside her home on Throop Ave. near Decatur St. in Bedford-Stuyvesant about 9:55 p.m. Tuesday, cops said. Her daughter witnessed the stabbing, police sources said.
Medics rushed Boomer to Kings County Hospital, where she later died. Shocked neighbors told ABC 7 New York the victim was a regular church goer who had lived in the neighborhood her entire life.
A younger relative of the victim and her daughter was taken into custody but has not yet been charged, police sources said.
