Tens of thousands of people — more than 170,000 at one point — across the United States reported issues using Verizon Wednesday.
Verizon said it was aware of an issue impacting wireless voice and data services for some customers. There was no immediate timetable for restoration.

The reports started coming into the Down Detector site around noon. According to Downdetector’s outage map, some of the cities with the most reports of issues include New York City, Philadelphia and Miami.
