Two minors were taken to the hospital after a crash on Route 9 in Chazy Tuesday night. New York State Police responded to Route 9 just before 6 p.m. Police said a mini gas-operated dirt bike, occupied by the two juveniles, was traveling southbound when a Buick LeSabre, also traveling southbound, failed to observe the dirt bike and struck it. Both juveniles were thrown from the dirt bike. Both juvenile occupants were transported to Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. One occupant sustained life-threatening injuries and is currently in critical condition.The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating the crash. So far, it’s unclear if any charges have been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
