BRONX (WABC) — A 45-year-old man who allegedly stalked and blackmailed a 14-year-old girl and performed a lewd act in front of her in the Bronx has been released from custody as he awaits his next hearing, police said.
ONeil Kennedy was arrested after the girl was allegedly lured into Seton Falls Park while walking to school.
Police said he showed her photos and videos of her on his cellphone and then threatened to sell them.
The suspect supposedly ordered her to lift her shirt and performed a lewd act while watching her.
Police said he has a history of arrests for grabbing teenage girls.
Kennedy was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, public lewdness, stalking and harassment. Kennedy has at least seven prior arrests, including for assault and forcible touching.
Kennedy was released on his own recognizance and the case was adjourned to December 10th.
Charges were not bail eligible, officials said.
