Going Bacharach: The Songs of an Icon, the musical revue
featuring the songs of late Tony nominee and Grammy winner Burt
Bacharach, has extended its limited engagement at The Marjorie S. Deane Little
Theater.
Directed by Tony-winning lyricist David Zippel (City of Angels), the production, which officially opened January 12, was originally scheduled through February 15. Performances will now continue an additional week through February 22. Read the reviews by clicking here.
The cast includes Hilary Kole, John Pagano, and Ta-Tynisa
Wilson with Adrian Galante at the piano and clarinet leading a
five-piece band.

Co-created by Will Friedwald, Adrian Galante, Tedd Firth, and Jack
Lewin, who also conceived the project, the revue of the work of the Promises, Promises
composer features such tunes as “Do You Know the Way to San Jose?,”
“What’s New Pussycat?,” “That’s What Friends Are For,” and
more. Arrangements and orchestrations are by Galante, who also serves as
music director. Musical supervision is by Tedd Firth.
A revue of Bacharach and Hal David songs titled The Look of Love
played a limited engagement on Broadway via Roundabout Theatre Company
in 2003. New York Theatre Workshop produced another Bacharach revue
Off-Broadway in 2013—conceived and starring Kyle Riabko, What’s It All About? Bacharach Reimagined
featured new, modernized takes on such Bacharach favorites as “Alfie,”
“Walk On By,” and “I Say a Little Prayer.” Following the Off-Broadway
premiere, the work, retitled Close To You: Bacharach Reimagined, enjoyed a successful West End run that released a cast album in 2016.
Going Bacharach: The Songs of an Icon is produced by Amas
