STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Police are searching for a man who fled the scene of an alleged menacing incident involving a firearm Friday night in New Brighton, authorities said.
A 911 call reported a male with a firearm at about 7:20 p.m. on York Avenue, according to a spokesperson for the NYPD.
The suspect allegedly menaced another person with a firearm on York Avenue before fleeing Friday evening, NYPD officials said.Google Maps
The spokesperson said the individual menaced another person with a firearm before fleeing the location in an unknown direction.
Police officers responded to the scene and a gun was recovered.
