CONEY ISLAND — BROOKLYN FC SIGNED veteran midfielder Tommy McNamara, age 34, as it builds its inaugural men’s roster for the 2026 season in the USL Championship, according to a Brooklyn FC press release.
A New York native, McNamara brings more than a decade of experience, totaling 219 Major League Soccer appearances with 22 goals and 30 assists. The 34-year-old’s history includes stints with Chivas USA, New York City FC, the Houston Dynamo, the New England Revolution and most recently the Las Vegas Lights FC. He helped New England win the 2021 Supporters’ Shield.
Brooklyn FC opens its inaugural season on March 8 against Indy Eleven at Maimonides Park.
