STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Police are investigating several robberies and thefts that occurred across Staten Island over the course of a recent week, according to the NYPD.

Police report that the following robberies occurred in the borough for the week of Jan. 5 to 11. via a report by CompStat, the NYPD’s data system:

On Jan. 5 at 7 p.m., a clothing-related robbery was reported at Mill Road and New Dorp Lane in New Dorp.

On Jan. 7 at 6 a.m., an open‑area robbery was reported at Adele Court, Cedar and Hudson streets in Dongan Hills.

On Jan. 8 at 6 p.m., a robbery that began as shoplifting occurred at Richmond and Independence avenues in New Springville.

Later that same day, at 11 p.m. on Jan. 8, a residential commercial robbery was reported at Mill Road and Isernia Avenue in New Dorp Beach.

On Jan. 10 at 2 a.m., a pocketbook robbery was reported at Richmond and Nome avenues in New Springville.

Later that same day, at 7 a.m. on Jan. 10, a home invasion was reported at Richmond Terrace and Federal Place in Mariners Harbor.

Robberies are up year-over-year, with 10 robberies in 2026 vs. 4 in 2025 by Jan. 11.
