Staten Island Community Boards: Wastewater recovery facility upgrades on agenda

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Upgrades to the Power Distribution System at the Port Richmond Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility will be discussed this week as two of Staten Island’s three Community Boards hold public meetings.

Community Board 1

During a virtual meeting of the Mariners Harbor/Port Richmond/Elm Park/Arlington Area Committee on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 7 p.m., the upgrades to the Port Richmond Wastewater facility will be discussed.

On Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 6:30 p.m., there will be a meeting of the Silver Lake/Sunnyside/Grymes Hill/Westerleigh/Willowbrook Area Committee. Liquor licenses will be discussed at the meeting.

On Thursday, Jan. 22, at 6:30 p.m., there will be a hybrid meeting of the Stapleton/Clifton/Concord Area Committee at the Stapleton Library, 132 Canal St., Stapleton. There is no set agenda.

Community Board 2

There will be a full board meeting of Community Board 2 on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 7 p.m. in the Joan & Alan Bernikow JCC, 1466 Manor Road, Sea View.

Community Board 2 full board meetings are conducted in person, with remote access available via Zoom. To ensure broader public accessibility, meetings are also live streamed on YouTube and broadcast on Community Media Television (CMS).
