Now that the New York Giants have made the signing of John Harbaugh as head coach official, expect the team to interview some of his former assistants for their coaching vacancies.

One of those confidants will be Baltimore Ravens’ offensive coordinator Todd Monken, who was previously revealed. Another, reports Sports Illustrated, will be offensive line coach George Warhop.

Sources inside the Baltimore Ravens have told Ravens On SI that up to four of Harbaugh’s coaches will interview with him in New York. Offensive coordinator, Todd Monken, and offensive line coach, George Warhop, will be two of the four.

Warhop, 64, has been coaching since 1983 after he finished his college playing career as a center at Cincinnati. After 13 years of coaching college and in NFL Europe, Warhop has coached the offensive lines for the St. Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Houston Texans before landing with the Ravens in 2024.

It’s hard to see how Warhop would be an upgrade over the Giants’ current offensive line coach, Carmen Bricillo. The team’s line made great strides under Bricillo the past two seasons, and it would seem counterproductive not to at least try to retain him.

Meanwhile, they can’t get Warhop out the door fast enough in Baltimore.

From Ebony Bird:

If he departs, Baltimore fans would be ecstatic. If Harbaugh brings Warhop with him to New York, it would be one final gift the 18-year head coach leaves the Ravens organization. Just as it was time to move on from Harbaugh, Warhop’s tenure has long since run its course. It’s only been two seasons, but they’ve been a disastrous two seasons.

Expect others to also be in the mix.
