The Philadelphia Eagles have interviewed Mike Kafka for their offensive coordinator vacancy, reports ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Kafka, 38, served as the New York Giants‘ offensive coordinator since 2022 and became interim head coach after Brian Daboll’s mid-season firing. He guided the team to a 2-5 record in his seven games, but oversaw notable offensive improvements, elevating the unit to 13th in the league (from 30th in 2024) and fifth in rushing.

The Giants interviewed Kafka for their permanent head coaching role on January 7, with general manager Joe Schoen praising his leadership and play-calling.

However, the franchise ultimately hired John Harbaugh as head coach on a five-year deal, making it highly unlikely Kafka returns in any capacity.

Kafka is now pursuing other opportunities, having also interviewed for offensive coordinator positions with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions. His prior experience under Andy Reid in Kansas City has kept him in demand for coordinator and head coaching roles in recent cycles.
