Actress Kianna Underwood, best known for starring in Nickelodeon’s “All That” as a child, was killed Friday in a hit-and-run incident, multiple outlets report.

She was 33.

Underwood was crossing the intersection of Watkins Street and Pitkin Avenue in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn, N.Y., when a black Ford SUV hit her around 6:50 a.m. local time, the New York Police Department (NYPD) confirmed to PEOPLE.

She was then “subsequently struck by a black and gray sedan,” authorities told the publication, adding that Underwood was pronounced dead at the scene.

The drivers of both vehicles did not stay on the scene, and they have not been identified.

“There are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad,” the NYPD told PEOPLE.

Following her breakout role, Underwood voiced Fuschia Glover for 23 episodes from 1999 to 2004 in Nickelodeon’s Little Bill and later appeared in The 24 Hour Woman alongside Rosie Perez, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Patti LuPone and more.

She also spent a year on stage, performing as little Inez during the first national tour of “Hairspray.”

But the actress had been struggling with homelessness in recent years, police told CBS News New York.

Actress Angelique Bates, who was part of All That’s original cast, raised concerns about Underwood in 2023.

“Everything that’s happening right now, I pretty much predicted,” Bates told CBS this weekend.

“I said, are people going to wait ‘til it’s too late? That she’s gone or she’s in jail?”

Bates told the publication she hopes Underwood is remembered for her humor and her talent.

“As much as she loved her supporters, as much as she loved the franchise, I think she would have loved to know that that love was reciprocated,” she said.
