Part of South Rutland Street, a large multi-family home and a side parking lot were taped off by police at 9:30am Sunday.
On scene, 7NEWS is told the situation is over and there is no threat to the public. Also, 7NEWS is told no residences were involved as police seem to center their investigation on a white truck covered with a tarp parked off the street.
Watertown city police offered more details late Sunday afternoon saying the call was a domestic to this area on South Rutland street and a man who was threatening to hurt himself with a gun barricaded himself in the truck.
The man was found in the truck and died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.
