Brooklyn Beckham has launched an astonishing attack on his “controlling” parents claiming they have been trying to ruin his relationship.

The 26-year-old eldest son of David and Victoria addressed their long-standing feud in a six page statement posted to Instagram on Monday night.

Brooklyn announced he has no wish to reconcile with his family and is “standing up” for himself “for the first time” in his life.

The former photographer wrote: “For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”

Brooklyn, who married model and heiress Nicola Peltz, 31, in April 2022, claimed that: “My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.”

He said his mother Victoria had “cancelled making Nicola’s dress” and “hijacked” the first dance at the wedding.

“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everybody. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life,” he said.

Recap: First time Brooklyn Beckham opened up over family feud rumours

Yesterday’s Instagram stories from Brooklyn Beckham came after months of rumours over an alleged feud with his parents.

In September, Brooklyn addressed the rumours for the first time.

“There’s always going to be people saying negative things, but I have a very supportive wife,” he told the Daily Mail. “Me and her, we just do our thing, we just keep our heads down and work. And we’re happy.”

He also claimed that he “never” worries about the headlines regarding his private life and relationships.

Beckham family fued is beyond repair, report says

Brooklyn Beckham’s relationship with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, appears to be beyond repair, a source told Page Six, following the 26-year-old’s explosive Instagram post on Monday.

The source described the Beckhams as “relentless” in creating problems for Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, adding that it is now “too late” for the couple to make amends with their son.

“As much as this sounds crazy and unhinged, everything Brooklyn said in his statement is true,” the source said, confirming the severity of the family feud.

Asked if there were chances of things becoming normal between the family members, the source added, “It’s too late … for now. He’s had enough.”

‘My mum called me evil’ over wedding seating plan, Brooklyn says

In another claim made against his mother Victoria, Brooklyn said she called him “evil” during an argument over a wedding seating plan.

He wrote: “During the wedding planning, my mum went so far as to call me ‘evil’ because Nicola and I chose to include my Nanny Sandra, and Nicola’s Naunni at our table, because they both didn’t have their husbands. Both of our parents had their own tables equally adjacent to ours.

“The night before our wedding, members of my family told me that Nicola was ‘not blood’ and ‘not family.’”

Who is Nicola Peltz?

Nicola Peltz has found herself at the centre of the Beckham family feud after her husband, Brooklyn Beckham, claimed that his parents have been trying to undermine their relationship.

An American actor and model, Peltz is the daughter of billionaire investor Nelson Peltz and former model Claudia Heffner Peltz.

She is best known for roles in Transformers: Age of Extinction and the television series Bates Motel.

Nicola and Brooklyn Beckham married in a lavish ceremony in Palm Beach in April 2022. The wedding was attended by Brooklyn’s parents, Victoria and David Beckham, as well as his siblings – Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

In the months following the wedding, Peltz’s father became embroiled in a legal dispute with wedding planners Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba of Plan Design Events. Nelson Peltz filed a lawsuit alleging that the planners failed to meet the scale required for his daughter’s high-profile guest list and did not refund a US$159,000 deposit.

The dispute was settled in September 2023, with both parties agreeing to resolve the matter out of court.

Brooklyn Beckham says parents refused to see him during London visit

Brooklyn Beckham has claimed that his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, rejected all of his attempts to spend “quality time” together during a trip to London last year.

In a series of Instagram Stories posted on Monday, 19 January, the 26-year-old alleged that his father repeatedly turned down his efforts to meet, detailing events he said led to his estrangement from his parents.

Brooklyn also said his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, “has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one”.

He accused his mother of repeatedly inviting women from his past into their lives in what he described as deliberate attempts to make both him and his wife uncomfortable.

“Despite this, we still traveled to London for my dad’s birthday and were rejected for a week as we waited in our hotel room trying to plan quality time with him,” Brooklyn wrote. “He refused all of our attempts, unless it was at his big birthday party with a hundred guests and cameras at every corner.”

David Beckham’s 50th birthday party was a massive star-studded event with celebs such as Tom Cruise, Eva Longoria and Gordon Ramsay attending.
