David Beckham was spotted for the first time since his son, Brooklyn Beckham, released a shocking statement accusing his parents of trying to “ruin” his relationship.
The soccer star showed up at the World Economic Forum’s 56th Annual Meeting in Switzerland, and was captured on camera dodging questions from Sky News. In response to a reporter asking “David, do you have a message for Brooklyn this morning?” and “Are you disappointed family business is being aired in public?” David simply smiled and walked by.
You can read Brooklyn’s full statement this way, but he said—in part—”My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.” He also claimed that Victoria Beckham “cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour,” that his parents “repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name,” that Victoria called him “‘evil’ because Nicola and I chose to include my Nanny Sandra, and Nicola’s Naunni at our table,” and that she “hijacked” his first dance and “danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone.”
