UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) — Boaters can look forward to the opening of the New York State Canal system for its 202nd season in May.
The New York State Canal Corporation announced that, if conditions allow, all parts of the Canal system are scheduled to open on May 15, with the season running until Oct. 14.
There will be no tolls or fees for recreational use of the Canal system this year, according to the Canal Corporation.
