Lake-effect snow brought blizzard-like conditions to parts of New York on Monday, January 19.
The National Weather Service (NWS) had forecasted that a snowband from Lake Erie would bring snowfall rates of up to one inch per hour and wind gusts of up to 50 mph on Monday, causing “very difficult travel.”
