THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – A new Bronx affordable housing lottery is offering $0 rent to eligible New Yorkers, according to a listing on NYC Housing Connect.

The Stevenson Senior Residences, located at 1841 Seward Ave., has amenities like an outdoor terrace, community center, public transportation access, a shared laundry room and more. The complex is also pet-friendly, with two pets with a weight limit of up to 100 pounds each allowed and no deposit required.

“This is a brand-new housing development offering safe, high-quality, and affordable homes for low-income seniors in New York City,” the listing said.

The eligibility requirements for residents to get free rent include:

At least one person in the household is age 62 or older

They have a household of one to two people

They must be making no income

They qualify for Section 8 housing

New Yorkers who get a yearly salary will have to pay 30% of it toward rent monthly.
