New details are being revealed about Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding day dance with his mom, Victoria Beckham.
“The dance was deeply uncomfortable, and people did notice at the wedding,” a source exclusively shared with Us Weekly. “Victoria nuzzled on Brooklyn’s neck in front of everyone and he made a face. He was in shock and upset. It was inappropriate and weird.”
Although it has been nearly four years since Brooklyn married Nicola Peltz Beckham at her family’s estate in Palm Beach, Florida, the couple’s ceremony is being put back in the spotlight after the groom claimed via Instagram on Monday, January 19, that his mom “hijacked my first dance with my wife.”
“In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead, my mum was waiting to dance with me instead,” Brooklyn shared. “She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. l’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”

The source claimed people were not “gossiping” about Victoria and Brooklyn’s dance at the wedding or shocked by the mother-son moment.

A guest of Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding previously spoke out on the former model’s claims that he was “humiliated” by his mom.
“I was there and she did, he’s telling the truth,” Stavros Agapiou, the partner of British DJ Fat Tony, who was asked to perform at the wedding reception, wrote in a since-deleted Instagram comment, Page Six reported on Tuesday, January 20. “Good on him for finally speaking out.”
After his comments went viral, however, Agapiou wrote via his Instagram Story, “Keeping my mouth shut from now on.”

Regardless of what did — or didn’t — happen at the wedding, both Brooklyn and Nicola decided to renew their vows in August 2025. (His parents did not attend the celebration.)
“We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment,” Brooklyn wrote via his Instagram Story on Monday. “My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press or manipulation. All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”

Brooklyn’s feud with his parents appears to extend far beyond a wedding day dance.
In his scathing statement earlier this month, Brooklyn also claimed that his parents have tried to “ruin” his relationship with Nicola long before their nuptials. It’s one of the reasons he does not want to reconcile with his family.
“My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress,” he alleged. “My parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife and my future children. … I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
