MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A Manhattan man was arrested Friday, Jan. 22, in connection with rape.
According to the Riley County Police Department, the incident occurred on Thursday night.
Officers filed a report of rape around 11:19 a.m. on Friday, listing a 54-year-old woman as the victim and a 24-year-old man known to the victim as the suspect.

As a result, Griffin Day was arrested around 3:15 p.m. in Manhattan.
He was issued a $200,000 bond and is confined in the Riley County Jail.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
Officials say no further information will be released due to the nature of the crime and investigation.
