STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Some traditions never die.

Snow days may have a new definition since the introduction of remote learning but you could be sure that as soon as the roads began to clear, families would make their way over to the grassy knoll in Clove Lakes Park off Martling Avenue for some sledding fun.

Sunday’s blanketing of powdery snow combined with the freeze overnight provided exceptionally good sledding conditions which hundreds of kids were seen enjoying throughout Monday afternoon.
