US Marshals located Rephayah Oselmo at an apartment complex off South Lewis Avenue in Fayetteville on Tuesday.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — A New York murder suspect was arrested in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Oct. 21, according to the US Marshals Service. 

Officials said Rephayah Oselmo was wanted by the State of New York for charges of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. A warrant for Oselmo was issued out of Onondaga County, New York on Oct. 8, but he was believed to have fled the state. 

US Marshals were brought in to investigate and later located Oselmo at an apartment complex off South Lewis Avenue in Fayetteville, Arkansas on around 4 p.m. on Tuesday. He reportedly tried to flee the are by jumping from a second story window but was quickly arrested.Â
